I "tried" installing my Eonon when I was at Kyle's OBX meet the other weekend with disappointing results. Jeff was a big help and can also comment/elaborate on what he observed.
My ZHP has the OE Navigation system so its much more involved to get this to work. No wonder there are very few (OEM nav equipped cars) who have done this retrofit.
The 5M cable I ordered "for my car" did not work when it was all run and connected. Furthermore, the radio antenna connection on Nav equipped BMWs are not in the dash but in back where the BM53 radio unit is installed under the MkIV Navi computer.
There were no radio antenna connections in the 5M cable harness....
Adding to my frustration, I tried to power on my "installed" Enon deck... nothing happened. It did look good installed but there was no power. I rechecked all the connections verifying everything was connected on the harness and tried again....still nothing.
At that point, I decided to retain all my OE Navigation equipment and reinstalled everything and gave my Eonon deck to Jeff so he could install it into Heather's ZHP for her birthday present (pic shown below)
Looking back at everything I did during my install attempt, it occurred to me that the Dynavin/Eonon systems are more geared towards cars that did not come with the OEM Navigation system. The 5M cable harness is a hit or miss as far as I'm concerned. With everything said, I will be staying with my OE setup.

Thanks Charlie. I've been pondering this (and was hopeful) as an option for my (son's) car that has OEM Nav. Guess we'll have to live with stock Nav. HU.
Sorry to hear, Charlie.
