The Italian private at the gate did right in not letting me in. He would not even let my Soldiers vouch for me; he stood his ground. Attempts to contact his bosses who knew me were unsuccessful. So, I sought some inspiration from Don Vito Corleone, and channeling him, in my best Italian accent, I finally told the Italian private, "Io sono il capo di tutti gli americani qui." It felt sooooo good. I think the area around my mouth and chin even contorted when I said it. He let me in. After that my Soldiers started calling me Don Adolfo.
