    I get "this thinking" from being $400 lighter in the wallet and having to diagnose the issue over two days.

    When I bought my car, I had to clear several codes regarding the MAF. When I removed the cover, I found a Krap & Nasty filter in there. Much to my distaste.

    Talk to any dealer about cleaning the MAF and they will tell you the same thing, it can't be done. Try it and you will ruin it.

    I think improperly oiling (too much) is the issue with oiled filters. Not their design.

    I agree. I've been using a k&n drop in that I made sure was very lightly oiled before inserting and have had no issues. To contrast u had one in that was heavily oiled and had maf issues. I cleaned the maf sensor (didnt known it was nit recomended) and have not had an issue since

    Mods: Smoked corners, smoked side markers, smoked tails, 35% tint, CF kidney grills, debadged, angel eyes, 3000k HID Fogs, OBX exhaust, Sharked, solo werks S1 coilovers, front and rear strut brace, AUX cable
