VANOS Experience Needed in Mid Atlantic Area

Who in the greater Mid Atlantic area would have some free time in February to help me with VANOS seals, VCG, and OFHG. Will provide food and beer and anything else needed to get the job done. I have been fighting the lean codes and wanted to tackle this project, but would like someone with experience for some oversight.

I have family in DC, Richmond, and Hampton Roads area, and I see there are many members up this direction. Please let me know if someone has a free weekend and I will make my way up when convenient. If others need work done as well I would love to make this into a whole weekend group wrenching/meet and greet, etc...

    Thanks for all your help.

I need to do VCG and VANOS seals on mine (probably very soon). Colin's car needs VANOS w/ anti-rattle. Not sure Feb will work for his, but I'd sure like to learn/help.

We may need an heated garage in Feb!

BMW is all new for me, but the instructions are so in depth and the diy's out there let you know common problems people face. I was just asking to see if there was any interest up that direction because It would be three birds one stone kind of situation, get some work done, meet some new family, and visit the other family.

If the cold is too much in February, we could plan something down here in Charleston. I don't have access to a garage yet (in work) but I do have the tools. I am going to tackle the cooling system in January so February was the logical progression for me. We will play it by ear, but if any other mid Atlantic family wants to meet/wrench in February, speak up.

I was hoping Bruce would jump in here as he has a 3-bay garage with new insulated doors! (hint hint). I'll be down in Sumter, SC in Feb, but probably not in C'town or have time to work on cars. My boys willl be meeting us at their grandparent's house. Let's keep discussing options. Other's thoughts?

I saw it, pondered it, but I can't commit to the timeframe. Daughter's & wife's b-days plus Valentines Day are all in Feb, the shed is unheated so I will remember those weekends, promise. Plus have 3 RFPs due to post in Jan/Feb, then I'll be working 15+ hrs 7 days a week until we get the proposals submitted. My garage is there, my tools are there, you're welcome to use them but I likely won't be there. GiGi is very sociable & gracious but not so much when I'm in RFP mode, it's a PITA as I only shower & sleep at the house for the weeks it takes to get the RFP submitted, but she deals with it and privately hates it. However, the perks that come with a 90%+ win rate, well we both enjoy those fruits.

...and I live just down the road from Vas. Not sure what Feb looks like yet, but I just did my Vanos in August so it's fresh. Really not a bad repair if you follow the directions and take your time.
