Also, a previous post in this thread you mentioned something about providing info on car washes. I'd be interested if there is an DIY around the Cars & Coffee site since I'm on for a photo shoot at noon and it'll be hard to run in bug stealth mode full time for 100 miles.

    TIA!
I'll have some light detailing supplies with me Mike but yes a power wash will help a lot there.

Good deal Seth. I'll be setup with a mini detailer's shop in my trunk as well so we'll only be lacking a clean water supply.

And speaking of water, I'm that there will not be any really nasty (read hail, flying horses, cows or similar type beasts) weather in the area at least on Saturday. If so I'll probably take the R32 instead and perhaps we can re-schedule the shoot later on for somewhere in Chi-town since that's still within hollering distance. The VW has a half dozen or so pockmarks from a previous hailstorm, so it's already proven sturdy enough to be pummeled by golf ball sized projectiles.

Your +1 is fine for Saturday night. Are you coming from north?

Ah, the old "stand back and squint, you'll never see it" gambit. Problem is, I'LL know it's dirty....and that, my friend, will eat at me slowly, inexorably, until it's rectified.

Try the Car Wash Inn. It's about 4.5 miles from Fuel Coffee.
