Hi all - been browsing the forum for a bit now and decided it was time to make it "official". Two-part backstory:
Always been a lover of BMW (although not so much the new stuff), but never thought I'd be lucky enough or able to own one. 'Bout 3 years ago, I stumbled quite accidently on a deal I couldn't pass up - my cousin had an '04 330Ci that he wanted to sell. Made a lot of mistakes in the process ("never buy from family", poorly documented service history, issues with the car unknown to him or me), but I bought it, love it, and have even enjoyed sorting out the problems and fixing them. Love the car, a lot.
Fast forward to about 1 year ago - a customer of mine has an '03 330i ZHP, and he and I have talked before about how much we loved our cars. He called me and asked if I was interested in buying his car (he bought an Audi, wanted 4wd) Didn't have the money at that time, and frankly he was having a hard time parting with it. About a month ago, he called again saying he was finally reconciled to parting with it.
I still don't have the money, but we've agreed to storing his car in my garage to keep it out of the elements over the winter, and hopefully in the spring I'll have the means to buy it. Working on the plan even now!
His car: 2003 330i, Imola Red over black leather. 6mt, 61k miles, nav, heated seats, 1 owner with excellent maintenance history, very very clean.
