    My homeade intake heat shield

    Hey guys,
This is a picture of my homemade heat shield, i made last memorial day weekend.
I started out creating a custom shield out cardboard. Then laid that flat on sheet metal and cut it out. Bent everything into shape. Sealed the cracks with gorilla glue. Then painted the whole thing with black caliber paint then lined the edges with black rubber door liner and foam. So i hope you guys like it.

P.s. on android so i only posted one pic. More to come

That's good. You could get a better seal between the hood if you use an old trunk or hood seal pieces, just an idea.:-)

Nice work. Being strapped for cash and crafty breeds great ingenuity.

Looks good! Now that you have the Heat Shield made, I'd suggest a down tube to separate the Filter from the MAF. The current proximity of the two may actually decrease your performance.

Thanks Static, I try to get creative when I'm bored and low on cash! haha.
Thanks Dane, Glad you think its got the OEM stamp of approval!
And thanks Hornung! I've been looking for a 60 degree tube, once I get one though, I think I'm going to wrap it in carbon fiber myself for fun

+1 on the hood seal to make a better seal.

    Kudos on the DIY!
