Get crazy and go more out of focus... took me a few tries to really be able to get into the spirit.

Really quickly (cuz I'm about to get out the door for an early shoot today).

1st pic - decent composition, post processing needs a lot more contrast as it's pretty flat. Aim for a wide tonal range of a little white, lots of levels of grey and some black.
2nd/3rd pic - work on your perspective, these shots look like how I (or anyone else) would see the fish on a regular basis. Focus on showing them in a different perspective that might interest the viewer a bit more. Oh and focus too... 2nd one looks like you focused on the glass instead of the fish.
4th - better contrast than #1 though the image needs a bit more direction like the 2 above it. I think if it's a photo of the turtle it needs to be a bit more zoomed in on just that. Or if it's about the turtle on a table with other stuff, zoom out and focus on all of it as 1 entity. you are kinda stuck somewhere between that IMO.

Keep practicing. Lots of guys here to help you out in your journey and it might help to talk to guys like Marcus and Dane who've both made magnificent strides in the last month or two.

wow thanks so much, After reading what you said I definitely see many places I have fallen short on these photos.
The first three have no post editing done whatsoever, and the fourth is me playing around on photoshop because i just got it and i have no idea what I am doing,
thank you so much for the comment I will definitely be looking forward to speaking with you, dane, marcus, and many others knowledgeable people on this site about how I should be shooting, and what editing should be done
