I think this is where being a newbie hurts me. Also, I do not have a full frame camera. Full frame guys don't have to light their subjects typically? One of the advantages of having the Canon 5D Mark II is that you can just crank up the ISO to get light in?

    Please educate, sir.

Higher ISO performance. It also uses available light better. However a 7D could get similar results. The 'full frame' though is what a 'normal' film camera would be... what we are all used to. As I comment on Casey's photos there is just something else to them. Photos, even generic ones, just look better. What Gabe is talking about though is the high ISO performance. You don't necessarily need flash or artificial light. Where as a lower end camera might not be able to make it happen. There are plenty of Motorsport photogs that carry a 5D MKII... which is not a motorsports camera because at dusk or when the light starts to fade you can crank it up and get really good shots. Shots that the other guys are just watching... not enough light. OR start using 2nd shutter.

Halston, thanks for the explanation. I was heading down the right path. These cameras are capable of turning up the ISO (high) without getting all of the artifacts that I'd get with my D7000.
