New guy - 04 ZHP and other toys

    New member here

I'm gonna risk immediate exclusion from your ranks by admitting I fell into a ZHP by accident... In my defense, I was looking for a commuter to replace my beater 528i and spare some miles on my other car. I was thinking a stick shift 330i or CI, as I have kids to ferry to school... But I accidentally spotted that 2004 330CI ZHP, and when I saw the alcantara interior, I was smitten... I mean weak at the knees. Some sort of alcantara fetish, I guess...
I resisted just long enough to go educate myself on what on earth ZHP was, and returned with my checkbook...

    Here's the car:

It's pretty much flawless, except for the 2800 RPM dip which, thanks to this board, I know I can erase with an ECU reflash. And the wrong shift knob, which I can fix by throwing money at it...

As for me, those are my other toys, I hope you are OK with my dual allegiances...

That is a 1968 short wheel base 912, slightly souped up and hot rodded...

My track/special day toy, getting harder to use with the kids..

After driving the ZHP 330, I ordered a steering wheel rewrap for the Cayman S, I wish I could "ZHP" the interior as well (yes, it's a verb now), it's lacking in alcantara... Hell I'd probably date an ugly woman if she were wrapped in alcantara...(hope my wife doesn't read this)

And maybe more in tunes with the board:

My rust bucket... Been patching the damn thing for almost 5 years. It's now fuel injected, Recaro'ed, no longer full of rusty holes, and got 5 speeds and better brakes. Fun car... but still a 6 footer paint wise. I'm so upside down in to I can never sell it....

Anyway, that's my hello ! I'll try not to ask stupid questions...

We're not worthy! What a garage! Feel free to donate that double car storage lift thingy to my charity, "Ryan needs a double car storage lift thingy.com".

Seriously though, great pick up with the ZHP. It fits right in with all your other badass rides.

    Welcome to the Mafia.

Your B-I-L would still be able to get paint on your car. You need a seperate garage.

That garage is my wet dream.

Welcome! It's really a toss up between the Inka '02 and the 912 for me.
