    JP, did you use plasti gage to measure the tolerance before you installed? What is like to work with?

    I need to start assembling the S52 I have at home..

    I did not. I know Carl has some as I saw it the other day but I've never used it before. You have to remember that tolerances on the M10 are not nearly as tight as the S52 so I didn't see the need. Had I been building a 2.2 I would have definitely used it

    So how did you determine that you were .25mm off of spec?

    Look at the rod cap. You can tell they ground it a little bit where I marked with green

    Is that a typical practice...to machine the rod caps? Seems like it'll be out of round if you do that.
