So I finally changed the CAF on the Bimmer with an OEM MicronAir Charcoal infused version...By the looks of it, the car still had the factory one, and it was pretty dirty, but IDK if it was very nasty, like I expected it to be.
Anyway, compared to the Elantra this was so easy to do, I was done in like 2 minutes.
Somehow I had the feeling the new one fit in mmore solidly and snug, compared to the factory one...

    Some pics and comparisons:

Good stuff. I kinda regret going with the Perf Knob. It's nice, but I think I'll be reverting to ZHP knob and eating my own words. I miss it.

I recently changed my CAF as well. It was OEM at 72k, and that thing was disgusting.

I was gonna ask you about that, but I just decided I like the look of the zhp knob more inside the cabin and already liked the feel of it so I just went zhp knob. I will be using your SSK DIY soon, I'd like to thank you in advance for that. Not looking forward to getting that plastic bearing thingy out.

I hope it helps you with the install. Justin said there was a much easier way to remove it. I have his post quoted in the guide, hopefully it helps you.

    Just be patient.

Spent a couple hours ripping the old CCV out and realized that I ordered the wrong throttle body gasket and lower intake boot. Thankfully ECS is allowing me to return those on my own dime.
