It looks correct to me. When I assemble mine I can just barely get the top nut and washer on.

I haven't replaced mine yet but looking at my Koni sports (yellows) that I plan to install, the piston (?) doesn't sit nearly as low as your OE shock on the right when it's "at rest." You can't fit it in as is?

Nope, too tall. That Koni orange at rest goes up a solid 2 inches above original. So with springs on, it ain't going in.

Arrrgh, no delivery yet.
These won't work, I am pretty sure. Will have to try the KYB or the Meyle which ARE labelled for sport suspension on the ECS tuning site.

Well, overnight FedEx hasn't really delivered anything today. Akron OH, is like 6 hours away!!!!
The guy at ECS tuning was nice and doubled checked with my VIN that the Bilstein B4 for Sport suspension would work. But... They're out of stock till the end of the month. Soooooooooooooooooooooooo...
KYB makes a great shock for the Sport suspension on the e46 did you know?
They are being FedExed over.. . . meanwhile, my 1993 Camry that smells like mildew is my ride.

Depending on what way it was shipped with FedEx overnight, it can deliver late in the afternoon or by the end of business day.
Check the tracking number to see if its on the vehicle for delivery.
