BMW Drivers side air bag recall July 2015 letter

Right, but I thought they allowed that you would not want your car to be completely dormant.

Today's permanent Takata airbag was installed in about an hour today. I'm happy it's all done with.

I just had the interim fix done. Was going to get another loaner but I had a meeting cancellation and ended up waiting instead. Only took a little over an hour. They did scuff my steering wheel a bit but I guess I'm glad BMW is providing this seeing as how they don't actually have to do anything besides the permanent repair

They mentioned today that they are cancelling all of the interim repairs because the Takata permanent repair is heavily underway already. It'll be interesting how this all pans out.

My status online at bmwusa.com/recall changed to "remedy available". However, in a call to the dealer, they said the parts won't be there until the fall. I should get a letter about availability.

They are replacing the whole middle section right, not just the airbag components behind the roundel part?
