As far as your tint question, I would just make sure you have something on it. 20% like you have is what I have and like it, but 35 works well too and a little easier to see at night. I would just want it there for the uv protection on those beautiful seats. Throw some 70% or air 80 on the windshield as well and you'll be set!

Those seats look killer! If the seats look as good as they do in the photos, the $1,000 you paid seems more than fair, especially considering all the good prep work he did plus a 2 year warranty.
