Lost the backlight to my radio faceplate :( Any ideas on a fix? Radio still functions fine...just can't see anything. The buttons don't light up and the ring around the vol/pwr knob is NOT illuminated.

Windows fogged up on my way home from school. The rain-x anti-fog works normally kinda well.. but once you put on defrost, it turns into 100% fog that is nearly IMPOSSIBLE to get off. I almost pulled over to wait for it to go away but it ended up going away after a while.

Then I hydroplaned across a whole lane and almost hit a van. That wasn't fun either. Then I got gas: $56...and nope, wasn't fun either.

Well, just a few hours ago my yellow warning light for oil came on after I turned my car off. I was kinda hoping I fixed my oil consumption by changing out my CCV.. but that clearly didn't work. When finished, the tech said he topped off my oil for me.

I just looked at my notepad on my iPhone (I keep a 'done' and 'to do' in there for my car.. don't judge me) and my CCV is listed there as finished at ~111,000mi. I'm currently at 111,90x. If thats the case, I'm steadily burning through 1qt(given the oil light comes on when the car is a quart low) about every 1,000 miles.

This can't be normal....

Just stumbled across this thread.

Since taking ownership of Marcus' car, I added an OEM Aux Cable (small add but huge for me), Weathertech floor mats (I wanted to be able to go to the beach and not get sand embedded in the carpet) and installed one of those Euro First Aid Boxes under the seat--just because I thought it would be cool.

Found out today that I hit a turtle. Yes, a turtle.

I was late for class and was 'following closely' to a car and all the sudden CRASH in the front end and the front lifted up..as did the rear immediately after. At first I thought I hit a squirrel or something but I was more worried about my car and continued to school. I also couldn't look back because someone was following me closely as well due to the old freakin man driving 35 in a 45 (which most people do 50+)

Finally got to take that road again today after class and yep... it was a turtle. I feel bad for the thing since I love turtles. I'd rather hit a stupid squirrel or something..not a cool turtle. This is the 2nd one I've hit (1st kill).

So far no loss of air from any of my tires.. but I've been contemplating removing both front & rear rims to check for a crack, cause turtles aren't soft :|

Thanks! In addition to the supercharger, it comes with KW Variant 1 coilovers, a short shifter, and (surprise) M3 seats (that last bit I didn't expect at all)! It needs a CDV delete, and it's lowered so far that the front lip scrapes almost every time (I know...raise the car a little) I enter our driveway. But it's SO torquey I'm averaging 28mpg city, if the OBC is to be believed (30mph in 5th at 1000 rpm or so)! I'll see how the numbers work out after my first tank...

Okay...if there's any total Halloween turn-off, it's an adult hustling for candy. I quote: 'C'mon, show me some sugar too' (mumbled by a momma who really OUGHT to be embarrassed).

I know there are certain localities where its illegal to trick-or-treat over a certain age, most places that do have that law have the age limit set at 12.

This was the only thing I was still missing from my trunk kit. It must be from my E32.

That depends on your definition of 'perv', John. I think she was just jonesin' for some sucrose. Judging by her appearance, that's probably the most wholesome substance she consumes.

Some older Civic revved his engine at me a few times today. He was in front of me at a light and i was just blipping the throttle for fun and because I was anxious to get going so I can get food before class. Didn't even rev over 1500rpms two or three times. Next thing I know, I hear this ridiculous sound coming out of a fart can muffler. I"m sure he revved to about 5k. I just laughed and was shaking my head. He definitely saw me.

Then the light turned green and we were both going left and once he got on the road he gunned it. Dumb civics.

I had a similar experience yesterday,(turbo rx-7, 80's model) his plates said turbo -blah something. I was stopped at a light and gave the e30 just a little gas so I wouldn't spin the tires and the dude wanted to go then, I put just enough gas in it to stay in front until the speed limit and stayed there, I always let them pass after the initial burst to the speed limit, they know what's up after that.

The good news: I got my engine put back together and it runs like a champ again.

The bad news: I took her out for a drive the next morning. I was getting on the freeway and decided to open her up a little bit and I had a huge rock smack my windshield right in the middle. Argh.
