Looks amazing!!! Can't wait to see it painted.
Thanks Rich! I will get my bootlid painted in Mystic Blue to match my car's color and then the plan is to leave the center top lip in exposed carbon fiber with the sides being faded to the color of the car. Same thing I had done with my Scorza CSL bootlid that I sold to Sean. It will be very subtle but should look amazing when complete. I will then source glossy black 330i badging to place on the bootlid to finish my bootlid install. I will then need to source a carbon fiber rear diffuser for my ZHP.... that will be next :)
This weekend will be my Wilwood BBK install then after that I'm planning to get my Bilstein PSS-10 coilovers and Ground Control camber kit installed. Lots of love going into blauzed this car season :cool
I'll also be integrating the BMW SIRIUS Radio module into my ZHP when I receive it from Ryan. I'm adding additional OEM features in my desire to build a uniquely optioned out ZHP. Part of the fun in having a project car like this [emoji41]

I already have a similar BMW SIRIUS Radio module integrated into my M3 and love having it so it will be nice to have an OEM part integrated into blauzed as well...
I also have the Sirius slave cable shipping out to me so I can also hook up BlueBus when I install the SIRIUS Radio Module in my car[emoji57]

I finished installing my SGT CSL bootlid this afternoon and the results were very satisfying to say the least. I love the new look on blauzed

Today is Wilwood BBK install day... :cool
Looking forward to installing these BBKs on my ZHP ;)
While I am waiting to start this project after lunch I decided to finish off the CSL bootlid install by mounting the inside trunk liner. Making holes then I can mount the finishing touches... [emoji57]

I will be replacing these POS Maxspeedingrods coilovers that the previous owner installed next with Bilstein PSS-10's [emoji57]

Yeah, I know my wheels are dirty and curb rashed (not from me). These Wilwood calipers will look great hiding behind my Style 135's [emoji41]

loooooooool I like how those maxspeedingrods coilovers have a similar colour scheme as Ohlins :rofl
I wonder if he got them for free? Because Maxspeedingrods tried to sponsor me like a few months back lol I was like, yeah you don't have anything I want lol
Hieu, as far as I am concerned.... Maxspeedingrods make cheap quality shit. I never even have heard of them before. No wonder the previous owner would not tell me what the brand was when he installed these $300 coilovers.... it just shows me just how much he cheaped out on this poor car before flipping it. Shame there are people like him out there...clearly not a true car enthusiast...

lol yeah same. When they hit me up to sponsor, I was like who tf. Then I found out they were a sponsor on e46f too lol When looking at their products, they had mostly the aftermarket versions of normal maintenance items like the intake hoses and stuff. End lines, and camber arms. They didn't even have coils when I looked lol
I'm fixing that hack's so-called fixes because he clearly is a cheapscape. After finishing my BBK upgrade I will be shifting my ZHP's maintenance to removing these POS coilovers and installing brand new PSS-10's and Ground Control camber kit then GUIBO changeout.... lots to do still but this car is getting proper care once again. I started installing the front Wilwood BBK on my ZHP this weekend. The biggest difference between mounting this kit and the Brembo GT BBKs on my M3 other than the price for the kit are the spacers the Wilwood kit comes with to mount the caliper and caliper brackets.
There are more adjustments needed to get the caliper installed with the Wilwood kit so they are more a custom setup rather than plug and play that the Brembo/Stoptech kits are.

Trimming of the rotor dust shield needs to be done so this is how I trimmed off mine.

With the Wilwood kit, brake pad wear sensors aren't used so I will have to periodically check my pads for wear... other than that... for the money this is not a bad kit. [emoji57]

The front kit has been installed and bedded in. Botond provided assistance with helping me install this kit and he bedded in my brakes. All I have to say is HOLY SHIT!!!! They bite stronger than an Alligator Snapping Turtle!! WOW!!! I'm very impressed by them and this is just the front kit!!
Pedal feel is very firm, much more than the OEM setup and more than the BMW Performance kit I had on my first ZHP.
I can't wait to get the rear kit installed now![emoji57][emoji57][emoji57]
If you're even on the fence on getting this kit for your ZHP I can say this kit is money well spent! It is not a plug and play kit like the Stoptech or Brembo GT BBKs are but so much cheaper for what they provide.
This kit is more a customized kit put together by UUC who include their own caliper brackets to mount to the OE caliper mounts. You get a bunch of washers/spacers to use with this kit and at times can be frustrating to set up because the instructions I got with my kit regarding placement of washers and spacers did not work. I had to figure out how to set the caliper bracket and caliper with the spacer/washers before coming up with a workable setup that finally worked.
You end up spending a lot of time figuring out how to set up one side but then once you do you repeat the same setup on the other side and it goes very quickly.
The setup is solid and I feel good driving this car and look forward to completing the entire setup so I can start looking forward to installing proper ZHP coilovers [emoji57]
As always thanks Botond for lending me a hand and providing good company that only a true and good friend can provide.
@ Colin, I am glad I purchased this kit from you. I know it has been a long time coming and I can't wait for you to check out my ZHP the next time you're in my area. I will want you to experience this upgrade yourself :thumbsup :)

Glad to hear you like the kit.
But I am less confident about my plans to try and source the parts a la carte after reading about fiddling with spacers and washers. Guess we shall see when the time comes.
Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
San, as much as I hate to say this I would go with sourcing the kit so you have everything including the caliper brackets which are custom made to work with our cars... when compared to other big brake kits (Brembo and Stoptech) you end up paying a lot more to have them on your car as compared to having these Wilwood brakes. It was frustrating trying to find the right setup to get the calipers to mount so that the rotors would spin with pads installed whereas if you spend a considerable more for the Brembos and Stoptech kits they would be plug and play. On the plus side is that if you ever have to replace your calipers, they cost less than $150 to source...
Glad they perform as advertised!

I'm glad too [emoji4]
Applied a few coats of wax to the bootlid.

I received this SIRIUS Satellite Radio Module from Ryan in the mail this afternoon. [emoji57]
https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...34e92fcf75.jpg
All about adding additional features into my ZHP to make this car OEM+ [emoji4]
When the dew points drop sufficiently I will be looking to route the antenna and install this module into my ZHP :cool Thanks Ryan!

I just completed installing my OEM BMW SIRIUS Radio module into my ZHP and temporarily running the antenna so it rests on my rear parcel shelf... I have an idea how I will run the antenna but that will be for another day. For now it is okay and it works [emoji1]
The install process was very easy and I had no problem running the CD changer cable to the radio module then running the slave cable up to where I have my BlueBus located.
https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...9de1b7d164.png
I also did an operational test to make sure everything was functional and it was[emoji4] All I need to do now is activate my module by adding it to my account and my ZHP will be set[emoji41]

cycling thru modes shows SIRIUS so I'm pleased with the results I want for this car... much more to do still[emoji41]

Its not perfect but compared to what is on the car right now, this will do. Eventually I will have this ZHP professionally painted completely with bumpers, hood, bootlid, and side skirts removed so they all get a proper paint job.... for now this will do...

^^Jack of all trades.
Turned out nice Sandy! [emoji41]
Nice
Great stuff, Charlie. Good to hear you like the Wilwoods so far. And nice work with paintwork, looks pretty good!
You do what you got to do to save money :). Luckily, I actually like to work on my cars :cool
Thanks guys! :thumbsup Yeah Will, the Wilwood BBK turned out to be a pleasant surprise when Botond was bedding in the new pads. They clearly outperformed the stock 330 calipers and look so much better. I just need to get the rears done and, weather permitting, will plan to start installing them over the upcoming weekend.
I will also plan to reinstall the proper side skirt on the passenger side. One of the previous owner/s chose to install the wrong part on this car so when I ordered the replacement side skirt to replace this wrong part, even BMW had ordered the wrong part initially and I had them reorder the part again to make sure the right MTEC II side skirt was ordered so I don't think the wrong part was intentionally ordered however the previous owner (whoever it was) should have known better and had the right part ordered (SMFH)... anyway I'm just fixing one of many screwups regarding care and maintenance of this wonderful car... she's clearly work in progress ;)
I just realized I have been living with faulty out door temps on blauzed so I will be sourcing a new kit to fix this issue soon from FCP Euro....
