I heard that's common. My car has 139,000 miles and the oil was changed 8,000 miles ago.

My BMW Tech Mech says it is natural for this type of engine to burn oil. It was how it was made. Which I agree. My E39 530i does not burn oil. Same engine. But different somehow.

^some do some don't. Mine burns about a third of a quart every 600-800mi I'm guessing.
I think the service bulletin says they "can" burn up to 1 qt very 1k.

Bulb day today. Replaced fog lights bulbs and put in rev led bulbs. Big PIMPIN'.

Oh, and I took certain liberties with CT Title 14.

Mine burns almost a quart per 10,000 miles with 170,000 on the odometer.

Installed the Pedalbox from ElCID86 for a trial run this week. Definitely fits my driving style as I do have a "weak foot" and barely press the pedal sometimes...this fixes that and really makes her seem more peppy even though nothing changes about the car getting up into the meat of the revs faster really makes a difference especially with the 3.46 and the LSD. I could see myself going through the tires in the rear even quicker with this, not to mention the clutch until I get used to it. Very easy for the revs to fly up if you aren't paying attention. Rev matching becomes VERY easy with this installed as well.
