It doesn't apply to you, only applies to 2dr facelift. Basically you have to bake the headlamp to take them apart

Whew. Thanks.
Here are some pics. You can see the inner angel eye is cut off (in these pics) on the top left by the bezel.

There's two wires coming out of each angel eye and so all 4 leads go into a white box with only 2 wires coming out that goes to the harness. You have to disconnect all 4 wires, run them through the back of the headlight, then reconnect them to the box since the box is too big to fit through the back of the headlight.
So where do you put the box if not behind the headlights?
I used some double-sided tape and taped it to a flat spot I found behind the headlight casing.
Two box per side, right? I get it. I might need to PM you when the time comes for my hook up. Or maybe just ask for technical help with Umnitza.
No there's one box per side. 4 wires go into one box and there's two wires coming off each halo.
Feel free to PM me if you need.
Right. One box per side. Fingers went faster than what was to come out.....LOL. Thanks.
thank you for the pics hokiezhp , now that i have have heard of the baking thing , how does it work?

IIRC it was 10 min at 250
This whole box thing is news to me; my AE's don't have any boxes other than a single, small relay. I'm confused...

If you look through this DIY, you'll see the boxes I'm talking about... http://www.diymybmw.com/e46/umnitza-...v2-angel-eyes/
Around step 2h and you can see it in step 3g in the background
BP,
Some kits come with a white box for each side. Umnitza's come to mind here iirc. Other kits do not have this. Personally, I prefer kits that are simplified....does not have the white boxes. The set I got from Jlevi SW did not have those white boxes but if I were to get another kit and it did come with those white boxes, I would do what Dane did....mount them in the drug bin...:) Good spot for them!
Here's mine a few pics last week install

Dennis, I think you copied the wrong code. It should be the one that says BB code
Yea JP, I wanted to see if HTML works instead of BB code I guess not Thanks :facepalm
The ECU is the electronic control unit, basically the brain of the car. It's located in (facing the front of the car) the back right corner of the engine bay under the windshield in a black box.
Got it..the bin where the brake reservoir is located. Thanks.
You should also have included the drug/spare bin.......
