If the engine cover is left off water can get in during rains and what not. Not super common of course, but I've seen it.

Interesting. Not sure how it could happen. It has always had the engine cover on. Oh well. No big worries. New ignition coils and spark plugs are in as are new valve cover gaskets.
Hope I didn?t screw things up too badly.

I changed out my driver's airbag because the airbag cover was damaged and upgraded to my titanium paddle shifters today. The car's interior looks much cleaner now.

The new look (bottom pic) looks much cleaner as compared to the old look above. There is more in store for my JCW Mini . . .
I had gotten lazy, was thinking the car was just getting tired, No codes or anything, just a bit sluggish, particularly noticeable when cold...
THis afternoon I replaced coils/plugs, cleaned the MAF and did the cabin filter while I had things apart up there.
Damn, I should never have doubted the ZHP... Back to buttery smooth, like new power delivery (at 176,000 miles.) I'm in love again.
A long overdue post.
I was cleaning out the garage and came across some left-over car polish so since the garage had room I did a quick polish. The headlights were polished a couple years ago but it was already looking tired so that got a sanding and seal as well.

I had the Cerakote headlight lens kit, but the chemical de-oxidizer wasn't sufficient. I ended up using the left over 3m kit with the drill sanding pad. 500 grit, 800 grit, then 1200 grit. After sanding I used some left over polish before cleaning it and sealing it with the Cerakote product. Hope it lasts a bit longer than the random clear-coat rattle can I used last time. Turned out alright.
Turned out pretty good for left-over / old polish products.

None of the pictures are showing for me, Will
Replaced this button assembly on my center console... DSC button was fried from a spill by PO. Thankfully this part is plentiful and dirt cheap on eBay and others.

3.46 diff build coming along. The output hubs arrived at WPC for treatment. The case was masked after stripping for sandblasting and cerakote.
