Love those onomatopoeia! Very cartoonish, great fun. I like Hermes' best.
Oh, I didn't realize that Porsche had a color called Alpine White.
944 Turbo. I would've guessed this a long time ago if I knew this color existed in their palette... :p
Hehe. Nice guess.
She's a 1987. The best part is that it has a three inch binder full of receipts and maintenance records.
106k miles. KKK 26/8 Turbocharger, and the entire M030 suspension from a 968 S. Former track car owned by a guy with way too much money. Easy maintenance bills totalling $7,000 for the most recent engine and turbo rebuild in 2010.
Car makes 245whp / 260tqs.

Ooohhh.. turbo P-car!
Couldn't resist the urge. Found it a day after he listed it. No pics or real description. Just stated that it had 968 parts on it...and that if you had to check with your partner if you could buy it, not to waste his time. LOL! So I drove 5 hours round trip to check this car out on Monday night after several midnight phone calls the prior evenings.
PPI at 8:30 tomorrow morning and hopefully picking up tomorrow night...at this point I'm repeating myself out of pure excitement.

Congrats! Nice car, I'll be on the lookout for the new thread.
Of the rear glass separates from the frame, that might be an option. Can you plug the louvers incase of rain?

What about at least delete the airbag wheel and find you a Nardi/MOMO?
Edit:

Airbag will be deleted and I will need to run an eccentric hub adapter so I get some leg room. Looking to buy an OEM 993 GT3 wheel and the eccentric spacer next week.
It was an option in 86...standard in 87. Believe it or not these cars were the first cars to come with two airbags standard. Set the bar for safety! But I'm not trying to have a 27 year old airbag go off, crash or otherwise.

What's up? Try to not shift in the wrong gear...That's a sad story. Buying a short shift kit as soon as I get the car home.

Buying everything on this list except the sunroof cam, cup holder and the auto shifter boot. Great stuff from these guys.

Congrats Justin. Looking forward to the build.
The friendliest forum on the planet!
Thanks Dane!
Fortunately for my wallet there's not much left to do! Very excited to have come across this car already built the exact way I would have done it.
Things to make it mine are:
Newer 17inch wheels
Performance all season tires
Short shifter
Airbag delete and steering wheel upgrade (tall people problems)
Rear hatch rattle fix
Find the leak in the hatch...new gaskets should help
968 mirrors and door handles
Some sweet Porsche decals
Everything else is just regular scheduled maintenance, which is a lot for this car but it will be a very fun learning platform for performance driving.
The rental Dodge Avenger I've been driving for the past week is getting annoying having been subjected to turbo power. Also found out that I can make it a one way trip north and drop it off at an Enterprise in the area.

Congrats! I always liked those cars... Had my eye on one about 15 yrs ago but the guys son totaled it...
Waiting for seller to pick me up from the Enterprise...told him to meet me here. Had to call and tell him oh well.
Hungry and have to use the loo.

...
very excited about this for you, Justin. Well chosen!
Just got back to my house. Got lost...had to pay a $30 toll because I got on the Penn turnpike with out a ticket...disputing that. Had to find 95S and finally got it on track.
Some guy in a Mazdaspeed3 wanted to race. Daniel is right, that crowd of owners, however passionate they are about their cars, are a supreme bunch of douchebags. Dude was on my ass with his obnoxious blue headlights and yellow foglights. Only because I did a lil ricer fly bye (because I like to hear the turbo noises) did he come at me. Jerks.
Anyway I'm eating dinner and then driving back to Towson. House/ Cat sitting. And its right next to work :-) no long ass drive in the morning for work!
Sadly this chapter in my life is effectively closed. It was short-lived, but I had a great time with the ZHP. Taken before her time :(
Enter the Porsche 944 turbo. 27 years old and 50 thousand less miles. The fun has just begun. She's a whore for maintenance...

Wow Justin you're living the P-Lyfe now!!! May all your dreams come true with this car and let it help you learn even more about the dynamics of motorsporting.
I kind of went for a go with a Mazdaspeed 3 tonight at the front of a traffic light on a wide open highway. ///M3 vs MS3. LOL. Don't worry I showed that driver where their place was. Behind an ///M3!!!! Muahahaha. But it was a quick little bugger!! It was never a speck in the rear view mirror when I quit after hitting 80mph. That car when tuned, I'm sure would easily keep up to my car in a straight. Maybe a good suspension setup could allow it to be quicker into and during a corner because of it's weight. FWD would be a bitch exiting apex aggressively I assume.
Very nice, I too am excited to see your progress with this one.
