Basically how it works is when you push it down on the fitting it pushes the plastic clip inward so you can pull the line off.
yep that's it... it's like magic.... it's nearly impossible to get the hose off without it
Buy the tool and save yourself a little heartache. I did both my cars without it. I used a pair of vice-grips and a pair of pliers to accomplish the same thing. One car I was able to do both fittings in about 30 seconds. The other one seemed to take me about 20 minutes. Lots of cursing involved.Quote:
