Two days ago Evan and I traded off buffing the main surfaces of my car: the boot lid, bonnet, and roof. Equipment: Porter Cable 7424 DA polisher, harbor freight buffer pads (believe it or not they work pretty well!) and Meguiar's 105. Down the road when I get the chance I'll do the other panels and maybe re-do the three panels that I've already buffed and literally spend all day doing it to make it poifect.

Looking sexy Nic ;)
.... The car I mean.
You'll need the ZKW lenses from theretrofitsource.com, $40. And some time, here is the video I used to aid in the process.

It might seem a little overwhelming at first, but it was actually pretty straight forward and not very difficult. Just a little time consuming, I had a bad ignitor so I had to get in there to change it anyway and figured I'd swap the lenses while I was at. Some people have said they get a better cut-off line by shimming between the lens housing and the bulb bowl, but mine were ridiculously sharp (IMO) without shimming so I just put her back together and called it good.
Here is a pic from 45'. Its not that crisp here, but still pretty good for 45', also notice the line on the CR-V to the left. I'll try to get one from 25' (the distance they say you should use to aim your headlights) tonight or soon.

It was a grill paint actually, kind of a flat'ish finish.
Awesome! I look forward to the DIY, I have killed two or three Pilot Super Sports in the past not quite two years. All from a slow leak that lead to a low tire, and then failure.
X2!
What a difference Stig. :thumbsup
Thanks Randeaux. I've resorted to nicknaming the previous owner of my car the "Cinnamon-Chewing Paint Sadist" because the armrest compartment smells quite potently like cinnamon gum (now my wallet smells like it from keeping it in there) and because of the awful, awful way he treated that paint. I've Never seen swirlier paint.
Looks perfect Stig.
Got my homelink installed last night. Just need to program it when I get home from work today.
