My dad spotted this one at a smog place in downtown Livermore today.
*edit*
Dad said it was the smog shop's owner's girlfriend's car. Owner has a tuned S4 making 430hp. Not bad.
Sounds like a good guy
Saw a fake zhp with chrome trim and donut wheels, had am tech front but stock rear and also the hood was completely dented to the engine block
Oh and did I mention it has paper plates that expired in 2012
Wow what a car lol. No pics?
No because a person was getting out of it, I didnt want to seem weird , lol
Lol I hear ya
Very nice Imola sedan in the Target parking lot in Manhattan Beach, unfortunately not Waldo parked. IN A TARGET PARKING LOT! Clearly they don't know what they have. Unfortunately there are too many of those out here. Either they don't know what they have or they do and it's just no biggie - they aren't enthusiasts. True that BMWs are a dime a dozen out here, but still...
Waldo parked?
dirty blue vert I-95S in VA, MM144 Tue about 4:45pm.
Parking away from other cars... so far that it's "Where's Waldo" to find your car in a pic. OR, just a good space with plenty of room.

A Target parking lot is a dangerous place. Kids, moms, mini vans, shopping carts.... too much deadly ding potential. You cannot NOT Waldo park in one, you're just asking for dings.
Saw a silver ZHP sedan on Yankee Hill today. Flashed lights...no response... :(

i'm pretty sure it's just a 330 that looks a little different to them.
also, there's something i always wanted to know about this thread. why do we report sightings for stock zhps (not owned by enthusiasts)? don't sightings thread usually look for modded cars or cars (can be stock, but clearly looks to be cared for) that look like they are owned by enthusiasts? just wondering, cause i see a shitload of stock ones, i just never report it lol
I live in the Bay Area and only seen 3 ZHPs since I got mine in October. Pretty rare to me.
Yeah I've only seen 2 ZHPs since November
Hieu is right in that they aren't really that uncommon around here. But as Dane said, that's just how we do Hieu! :)
PS Did I spell that right or do I have it backwards?
Came across this. Made me wonder if anybody's done this while not driving their ZHP?

lol i saw like 7 of them when i went there to visit some friends. not BMW friends that would skew my results in case you're wondering. most of them were grey
damn that's crazy. that's like me trying to spot a white 330. can't seem to find them. but i see a ton of zhp's on a daily basis. my friend's house is across from 2 of them lol
yeah you got it right this time, i swear i don't even notice when you spell it wrong sometimes. i just autocorrect in my head.
i have a couple more questions lol how do you guys know it's a zhp when like you're driving by? like say there's just a full mt2 kit, you can't see inside. different wheels, different exhaust? do you guys just disregard them as non-zhps so that's why this thread seems to only have stock zhps or what if you saw a ZHP that is missing parts (like an mt2 side [ie johnrando's lol]), is that considered a fake?
sorry i'm just soooo bored, not having a car sucks so much. i can't go anywhere lol
We leave it up to the judgement of the see-er.

There's not that many cars with Mtech 2 on front and rear AND style 135s.
Sometimes I can see the cube trim pieces.
And then of course there's the one and only Imola Red :)
Yup, 135s, Mtech II, rear diffuser are the first tells for me. As Hieu was referring to, (you may recall this story), the body shop replaced my ZHP side skirt with a standard one on accident, and no one noticed for 18 months until Hieu did. The shop replaced it with the correct one for free.
Uh. The zhp one is different than zsp?
The orient coupe is back! Sitting on the side of the road this time; the owner nowhere to be seen!

yeah i know. just wondering what you guys are using as your requirements lol like for me. i only go for modded zhps. i just totally disregard stock ones because they are most likely not enthusiasts lol
yeah that's what i'm saying. usually to have all 3 things. it's like a stock zhp (or very lightly modded). otherwise, i think most modded (or fake ones) only have the full kit and like different wheels. like say my car. if you saw it, what would you classify it? modded 330 (ie fake) or zhp that's modded? lol
can't tell if that's a real question. but yeah. the zsp one is just the stock ones. there's only 4 different factory sides for the coupe: stock, mt2, m3, and that one special aero that looks like a tuner version of the mt2.
I only see stock ZHPs here. Some may have engine or suspension mods, but they look stock on the outside.
Finally found the owner of a beautiful Alpine White ZHP sedan at...Chipotle. He did not know it was a ZHP but I told him about the mafia so hopefully he joins!

I spotted a joopie (aw zhp) this morning. South First @ Oltorf, 8 AM. Female, middle aged driver. She didn't seem very excited about driving a zhp. The car was very clean.
+1. Saw an AW a while back. Also driven by a lady with her mother. They probably do not know what they got....just another vehicle for transport for going from point A to point B for them.
Not quite a ZHP, but it follows the "old lady" format we have going.
Some old lady in my city has an M 635 csi as her daily driver. I used to see her every few months doing her shopping downtown.
Don't know how many of those were made, but there can't be many!
so you're saying a high number of zhps are sleepers? yeah suspension mods like lowering/coils are noticeable even though everything is else is stock. unless you're talking about like control arms or something.
i stand by my statement. like I said, there's a high percentage that it's not an enthusiast. i didn't say anything about all of them not being enthusiasts. since it's such a high number, i just disregard them lol easier to find them on the forum lol
yeah that is true, but you have to agree that if it's modded, it's way more likely that it is driven by an enthusiast vs. a stock car.
