Thanks guys. Now that the weather is cooler it's a good time to do it.

Thanks. I used Duplicolor vinyl and fabric coating. It took about one whole can for deck and grill covers.

SSK install is scheduled for next Monday 9/29. I do plan to replace both shifter bushings #25111222015 and #25117507670 (x2) as well as the dowel pin #2311466134.
Shawn...that rear deck looks just as good as the rear deck on my ///M! Well done my friend! :thumbsup
Thanks gents.
I took a chance and got a Blackstone analysis done on my last (first for me) oil change---did I really want to know?!
Not too bad!
"This is a great looking BWM at 182,985 miles. Universal averages show typical wear levels for this type of engine after about 6,400 miles on the oil. This oil saw 7,500 miles and wear metals compare perfectly with averages. A lot of metals are actually lower than universal averages and you can't complain about that. The viscosity is in the 5W/40 range and that worked just fine. No fuel or coolant contamination is present and low insolubles and silicon show fine oil and air filtration. You can go longer on the oil if you want, but 7,500 miles is also a good interval."

Nice Shawn.
The friendliest forum on the planet!
A few hours with lettering the paint dry and doing a few other things. Keith has a good DIY on the coupe.

Tons of good stuff!
Looks great Shawn! Even with a rough running engine, you still had good values. That is a good sign.
Thanks Patrick. Just suggested I do the VANOS which I will at some point. I just don't feel like another VCG at this point. I might consider having the adaptations cleared also.
Shawn, car is looking awesome! Can't believe how fast you're knocking 'em out! :thumbsup
Thanks. Still a lot to do. Can't wait to get the paint done. I'm hoping to have the front clip done over Columbus Day.

It's nice to see you refreshing this car so quickly, Shawn. Not one to waste time when you could be "making it your own"!
I installed and programmed the homelike module today using the DIY. I need to replace the black fabric piece as several of my clips are broken and it doesn't want to stay in place with the added weight.

I love the homelink. I got spoiled by it on my 5er. This was the second thing I did for my ZHP.
Good luck finding a replacement piece.

I do like it even though my car doesn't get to park in the garage!
Alex found it here: Sunroof Switch Panel,

Nice ! My e46 didn't come with home link, and at that time I didn't know you could add one yourself.
My e90 comes with home link. I was able to program it for my parents" garage. But, I could not program it for my own house ! Would like to make it work some day.
Mechanic ran into a bit of a snag this morning but is making progress.

Man that is alot of work for a short shifter.
Got the Autosolutions SSK installed today. It sure is different--quite a bit more notch. I do like the feel though. The tech said he liked the design and it should last a lot longer--another 182k?? :fingerscrossed

The mechanic also verified the rear main seal leak that was discovered during PPI. He recommended getting it done when I get the clutch done (not planned for a while I hope).

I also got to see my rear shocks today.

Looks like a good upgrade! Your shocks must have been replaced at some point too - mine were OE BMW stamped May 2003 when I did my suspension before the meet in May :shifty
^ yes, I think so Alex. I new the fronts had been done, but wasn't sure about the rears. It feels pretty tight.
New front trim with HomeLink ready to install.

Nice. I like homelink but I only use it for garage door - not sure if it has other uses.
I love the homelink! I hate seeing the big garage door opener on my wife's visor.
