If the PPI clears the car of any major maintenance issues, all the above points sound good to me. It's a fair price for a fully loaded car (looks to have all packages plus Park Distance Control (PDC) and navigation) with decent miles with a manual transmission. I'd buy it. Good luck!
You're right. I think I'm a little anxious about getting such a high mileage car without knowing what to really look out for (maintenance wise). I hadn't seen this thread and it seemed like a good idea to get a second opinion from someone else with a ZHP, but I think I'm going a little overboard. If the PPI doesn't come up with anything major I'll pull the trigger. Thanks for the feedback.
No worries, I don't mean to dissuade you. I just wanted to be clear in my own understanding. Can you list what maintenance the owner said they've had done? That should give you a good approximation of what needs to be done. Also, well known points of failure in the E46 platform can be found here beyond the usual cooling system, FCABs/RTABs, suspension, brakes, fluids, etc: http://www.bimmerfest.com/wiki/index...46#MaintenanceQuote:
