Looks great CovertCoupe! Where did you get yours? I'm considering getting a backup just in case.
Thanks John! I got mine from Khoalty, only one I could find. I've heard mixed things about the company but the fitment and quality was spot on, great customer service for me as well.
Great space if you ask me!

Was the 2er still a part of dealer inventory, or a customer car? If dealer sad to see the front plate holder already drilled into the bumper on the 228. Maybe the customer would want to abstain and rather have a front tow mount option for the plate. Even Valencia orange cannot hide such a heinous inequity. :facepalm
Either way nice touch with the shadow grills. :fistpump
Haha thanks.
I dunno I thought the 2 series is a pretty good looking car in person. I believe this specific 2 series is still dealer inventory as it was lined up next to a lot of very expensive BMWs. I sat in it plenty and it is a very nice car. The seats fit me like a glove. I will own one someday.
My ZHP got lots of attention at this meet though so I am a proud papa. Lots of nice cars there.

Whoa that was a 2 series? Looks big!
It's perspective. It's a small car. I am too lazy to look for online measurements of the ZHP and 2 (anyone?), but they are very close in size.

Our new 328d was a dealer inventory car and they had already drilled it and slapped on the front plate. And Florida isn't even a 2 plate state!!! Not much I could do as it was already there when we looked at the car, but I see more and more new BMWs this way. Apparently they're installed before the dealer (so I was told)...
Not much I could do other than get a set of color matched bumper plugs, which was ok because I made them eat the cost of them...
Took her to the barn with my dad's beast beside her

Jupe, that was very civilized of you. I probably would have asked them to replace the whole bumper, or find me another model with similar options.
Indiana is also a state with a one plate requirement and its borderline criminal to see the bumper defaced unnecessarily.
The upside of buying a special ordered car is you can tell the CA to not mount the bracket. I can't say I would have walked from the twice pre-owned 1er M if it had the front bracket mounted, so I was fortunate that both states this car was tagged in (Georgia & South Carolina) don't require a front plate so I didn't have to make that decision.
VW made a real bonehead mistake with the first arrivals of the MKV R32 in that they drilled the mount into the front bumper shield at the VPC upon entry into NA instead of allowing the dealership to affix it if the customer so requested. To their credit they fessed up to their mistake and allowed owners to order a new shield to be replaced under warranty. Unfortunately, even though it was a limited production run of 5,000 there were apparently enough of us who took them up on it that it required almost one year to get the new bumper in stock for it to be replaced.
In the end it's not really worth a hill of beans if it's permanently affixed to the bumper unnecessarily so I can understand shrugging it off. Just wish dealers were not so overzealous about mounting the holder to the bumper. It's admittedly small details like this that cause me to return to, or seek another dealer in the future.

^ a well adorned driveway.
I guess I'm a rare car enthusiast who doesn't care about a plate in the front?
