Door Seals for Sedan and Wagon

Has anyone replaced or repaired their door seals?

e46s are notorious for wind noise with the windows up. I also get some water inside the car after heavy rains. Looking to cure this by replacing the seals...looking for feedback from those who have, or if a Mafioso has a fix with out replacing them entirely, let us know!

Looked into it due to wind noise from driver front door. IIRC, for the sedan front there are two door seals, one that goes on the body (door frame) and one that goes on the door. First I'm going to try Gummi Pfledge on the seals to see if that swells them enough to stop the wind noise. I did replace inner lower window seal, but I don't think that keeps any water out, unless water gets on the inside of the glass then it keeps it from running down inside the door.

I was thinking about this for a minute and just forgot about it. I occasionally get some wind noise but I think it's partly due to the fact of how the 2dr window is frameless vs the frame around the 4dr. BTW, about how much to the seals run for the E46? I need to buy them for the 2002 and they're like $100 each door. Not exactly a priority at the moment

A month ago I looked into pricing for E46 sedan. My biggest problem was deciding which seal to replace, hence the Gummi Pfledge.

Front left door seal (goes on door) 5133819469
    --BavAuto $49
--Pelican Parts $89 (BMW) or $42 (Febi)
    --ECS Tuning $63.64

Front left doorframe seal (goes on frame) 51728194682
    --BavAuto $58.95
--Pelican $60.75 (not sure of brand)
    --ECS Tuning $42;

Seems a bit expensive, I have a seal issue on one of the rear doors.

Keep in mind that BMW has phased out use of gummi-pflege due to the damage caused to rubber seals by silicone products.

BMW now uses carboflo, (Carbaflo KSP105. BMW P/N 83230309627, $38.78) for all seal maintenance and squeaky seal issues.

This should be used after a silicone remover if you've been using gummi-pflege.

    Thanks for the info!

Do you have a link to somewhere online that I can purchase this?

All the online parts sites I used switched over to some new back-end so searching by P/N no longer works, and you're forced to drill down by text, which is unbelievably inconvenient.
