Last thing, is that piping coming off the muffler something that has to be made?

Yep the Y-pipe had to be fabricated. Any muffler shop can do it, just take it to your local muffler man.

Get the secon resonator taken out as well. After driving Luca's car (bosszhp), I will be getting mine taken out. Sounds soooo good! He let me drive it in the video and I didnt want to stop driving it lol

If you're adding catless headers soon, personally I would do that first and see how it sounds with the second resonator. The stock exhaust manifolds suppress the M54's sound a lot.

Check out Gators' sound with catted tubular headers (from an M3), both resonators, and the Vibrant muffler:

I bet catless headers would increase the volume compared to this substantially. YMMV though; post up regardless what you decide.

Is the vibrant muffler alone louder than stock?

And I'm guessing the resonator delete could balance out the theoretical increase in backpressure from the 2.5" pipe?

Yes the muffler alone is a little throatier than stock but I'll let Bryant chime in on that since he still has both his resonators.

The Vibrant Muffler alone is indeed louder and deeper than the stock tone. It is great, and the Vibrant Muffler with the second resonator is perfect IMHO. It is an affordable way to get an amazing sound, so happy I didn't go with a full catback, I have saved a lot of money lol

Headers are delayed now. Not sure if I am going to go that route, so second res delete will be coming soon.

    Update:
I will be getting the second resonator taken out tomorrow. Luca will be tagging along on the adventure, so we will be able to get some nice before/after clips!
