Yep, definitely more relatable, as I've never worked on anything except E36s and E46s before. Had it on my 2nd screen while I worked on my thesis.

2 main comments I had:
- Wow, that's a heck of a lot of sludge, I wonder what the oil change intervals were, and
- Geez that impact wrench really isn't great if it struggles with FCAB and reinforcement shield bolts. A few weeks ago I splurged on a 450 ft-lbs 1/2" Milwaukee gun, and boy it's such a treat to use coming from a 10+ year old corded impact driver barely pushing 50 ft-lbs.

Nice! Milwaukee is on my shopping list, hopefully I'll get it soon, well worth to spend the money there.

Thanks! Finally, it's back to normal weather-wise, every summer there are like 2 weeks when it's hot as hell and I had to work on the car exactly then.

Another great video! It's very satisfying to see the progression, especially the de-sludging.

I had no problem watching the whole thing in one go. It seemed like there was sufficient material for two slightly shorter videos, which would have been fine too.

I grew up watching the show New Yankee Workshop featuring master carpenter Norm Abrams (link). Not that I was doing any carpentry as a kid (or even now, for that matter), but it was educational, entertaining, and satisfying to watch experts do their thing. No phony dramas or manufactured crisis. Your channel reminds me of New Yankee Workshop shows, but with cars and humor.

Actually, not a lot, we were apart by 1k and he didn't overprice the car, I forgot to mention that in the video. But in order to do what I need to do with this car, I'd need to buy it for the price I offered otherwise, I'll be losing money on it 100%. They simply don't have the value like E31 does, at least in Germany. The guy invested a lot of money in it back in 2015 but it never ran right so he parked it. He won't come down more since he'll be losing too much money so we couldn't make it happen.

Though, the car will just degrade more as it sits. I would go for his asking price if the car had service history, no rust and I didn't have to repaint the hood. Just to sort out that hood is 1k cost here.

That thing is awesome now in comparison to what it was when I got it. I'll do a price breakdown for it and think a lot of people will be shocked how much dinero I dumped into it.

Part 3 of project Cologne, E46 Touring is up!



It's roadworthy again and I already put about 280 miles on it when I went to pick up the rear bumper for the E38.
There's still a lot to do as I want to do some upgrades so there will be more videos!

I'm trying to get to work with Koni to upgrade the suspension but so far no luck.
