And looking at these, perhaps a flat anthracite color would have worked well.

    Anyhoozle, here they be:

    Process:
sand wheels with I forget what type of sandpaper (paint can told me which)
    1 coat of satin black
    2 coats of flat black
    2 coats of flat clear

Got the paint from walmart - I think it was krylon. We'll see if it holds up. All is good so far.

AND I cleaned the hell outa my wheel wells. No pics.
Awesome DIYing! They look great, especially for winter. 2x

It's been a while and I'm behind on updates.

After a few months of waffling, I'm finally putting my order in for a new set of tires. I'm keeping the stock 135s and ordering some Continental DWSs Kumho Ecsta 4X (just found out the rear Conti's are backordered for the immediate future). I'll post up pics after the install.

I also ordered some wiper blade refills and a new fog lamp surround from ECS, which should show up this week. We finally got some rain around here, and I realized then the wipers were teh suck!

last night i put my car cover on. we had a major storm come through and this morning the cover was soaked through so bad it was stuck to the body of the car. after a lot of effort i was finally able to get it off, but as i peeled it away it left a bunch of mud streaks all over the car. and then i had to figure out where to put a giant sopping mud-covered car cover (don't have a garage).

well i just can't have this. the cover is a noah brand i bought from the boss. it works fine in dry weather but it sucks in the wet/ice. so i think i will be selling it. i will post a f/s thread in the classifieds soon.
