I find myself driving with the armrest up a lot, especially since the SSK. I get a much more comfortable arm position for shifting with it up....but that's on the commute which makes for a lot of rowing. On trips its down and I'm on it.

I never thought I could live without one either - my E30 was my first car to not have one and took a lot of getting used to.

i'm the opposite, i prefer it down and the little groove for the elbow is perfect for shifting

I love my armrest. My car didn't come with one, so I added it. The armrest is a necessity for my gangster lean.

Please visit my build page here, on CarDomain.

Armrest delete . . . hmmm, may have to try driving around with it up for a bit.

Ordered the usual Beisan kit: seals, anti-rattle, vice covers. Wasn't planning on doing the anti-rattle, but thought it best to order the kit & check the play whilst doing the seals. If anyone's thinking of doing their seals & anti-rattle soon, I may have the rattle kit to sell you!

Replaced the window regulators on both front doors. Going to get beer at half-time and drive with the windows down because I can.

Fnally fixed my headunit's power/volume knob; one of the screws is MIA, so I just epoxied the thing in place.

Fixed my slouching a pillars. Looking at the phone pictures they don't look that bad but it was annoying. Even more annoying -- those 3 t20 screws holding the pillars in. The afyer pictures look ok, but in person they look great! I used 3M 77 and it has no discoloration. Thanks for the DIY DW.
