If it wasn't going to rain here, I would be washing, Iron.X-ing, and putting on a coat of Griot's One-Step polish/sealant. Damn rain....

added Prolong engine oil additive to the ///M. Car seems zippier than it already is...almost like I have the sport button engaged but its not.

Also washed the ///M today... car was so shiny after the wash I didn't need to apply any wax or sealant.

Dane,
From what I understand, you add this to what is already in the engine (this is what we did to my ///M - no noticeable issues). Then you run this until your next normal oil change interval and add a smaller portion in your next oil change. As for can you stop using this product? I would say yes, you can stop but then you will no longer get the added benefits from using this product. I was skeptical at first but allowed my friend to add this to the ///M. By the time I drove 10 miles, I could feel a noticeable improvement to how my engine was running. I was surprised and the engine only improved in performance. This morning I drove the ///M out to a car wash to wash off all the bugs I helped kill last night and the car felt like it was in sport mode. Very impressive product![]()
Prolong also has additives for the transmission and differential, which I will be adding to the ZHP before the Mafia reunion. Since I intend to use my ZHP as my daily driver, I will be treating everything with this product.
I did talk to my friend about using Slick50 but told him I haven't done this yet. He said that it was good I didn't. Apparently, Slick50 is not as good as they had advertised. There were some issues regarding using their product and I was briefed on how well Prolong had performed when compared to all of the other additives. Prolong finished on top (no, I don't have the documentation - will have to look this up) but my friend has never steered me in the wrong direction and I have developed a good trust friendship with him over the years. He uses this product on all of his cars. Anyway, I hope I was able to answer your questions Dane.![]()
Roger, over.
Thanks Charlie.
Searching "prolong reviews" yeilds some "unexpected" results.....hehe

Today I finally drove my ZHP after not as much as looking at it for a little over a week.
Drove it straight to a self wash place (it was filthy) and got to use the Sonax I ordered. This stuff is unbelievably good!
Will do an ONR wash when I feel like it. At least it's rinsed off for now...
