    Sounds like someone is doing a drum roll on the valve cover from about 2400 rpms up through the mid 3s.

    Will also be louder when the engine is hotter.

    Looking forward to getting rid of mine.

    It isn't always the same noise- although if left untreated it will progress to what you see on Youtube. I do think cars can develop it- though not without provocation (in the form of getting rid of carbon buildup). It is rare to develop it later.

    I use Opti-Seal. It lasted about 4 months for me. I use an automatic touchless wash in between applications.
