I haven't had mine apart yet but I'd think this stuff would be like the oem stuff. We have some at work and it feels like it would work great and be easier to remove than silicone if you have to take it apart again in the future.

That was so 15 seconds ago.
I took mine to Bill Arnold (divine?) for a once over (Insp II @ 57K) and committed to buying Webster's Noah cover.

Sort of gave my ZHP to my wife, which enabled me to buy an e39 M5. I won, twice.
I will be taking my ZHP to JMK BMW tonight for their Customer Appreciation Day (free car inspection) and hopefully the tail light recall...
of course, i will TRY to DIY if they find anything thats wrong on my car...

Had intentions on fixing my VANOS stud, but that went awry. The stud threads into the head.. but when Terra and I tried to torque it (only 8 ft-lbs) the nut would just pull the stud out. Red Loctite didn't even work. Worked probably about 5 hours today; took the VCG and VANOS off to get to the hole..
But we also drained my oil.. Now to remember to put oil back in it before I start it back up. I guess I'll be taking my moms car to work tomorrow![]()

Free gifts from JMK BMW...
Inspection came back with few items needed:
- perform fuel injector service
- replace left lower ball joint
- replace thrust arm bushing
- and the OFHG
Hopefully the shimmy i feel will be gone after replacing the thrust arm bushing...
I can probably do the OFHG, not sure about 2 & 3.... is #1 really necessary?
and lastly, i bought a performance exhaust....

First, dang those are nice gifts!
Second, like how you nonchalantly expressed you got a performance exhaust. Sweet can't wait to hear it.
