Today I cheated on my ZHP and drove a 1M.
Oh. My. Lawd. That thing is beastly. Similiar to our carts sub 2,500RPM but then boost kicks in and throws you back in your seat and spins the 265's out back no problemo. I was literally laughing the first time I cracked it. I didn't really get out of first gear where I played with it so I didn't get the full experience. but I'm more than happy to have gotten to drive 1 of the supposed 600-700 imported to the US.

I found the original DIY thread that somebody else started: steering wheel reconditioning DIY
I didn't use the magic eraser - I went with microfiber cloth instead of a sponge and used the foam leather cleaner from Detailer's Domain (site sponsor - use code 'ZHPMAFIA' for 10% off):
Finished up with a fuzz razor thing:
After it dried, all was well!
