I would like to note this... the VIN's sequentially directly before and after were produced 10/15/2002. This car has a date of 11/14/2002 so it looks like they probably pulled a bare chassis off the line and sent it to get built. This was the first car produced with option #767, but not the first car with option 716 (M-Tech II body kit). I have seen several Canadian M-Sport cars with 9/02 and 10/02 VIN's that were produced, but it was not many.

I ran ever VIN from the start of the 9/02 production until full production commenced in 3/03... let's just say I've been looking for a while

Why I think that is the car from the Auto Show...

1 - needed to be built late Nov or earlier so it could be shipped to LA

2 - no other ZHP's that I could find prior to that date

3 - has to be a facelift sedan, therefore production of 9/1/02 or later

4 - 2004 production was 6MT only, therefore must be in the VIN range of KM02351 (9/2/02) to KM05224 (8/29/03)

5 - no other cars with option code 767 found built in the 9/02-12/02 range

6 - car is fully optioned out

7 - with that specific car this option leads me to believe it is the car from LA:
S916A - ENTWICKLUNGSFZG.OHNE KONSERVIERUNG - Development veh. w/out preservation

I'm guessing that means that the underbody protectant coat wasn't painted on?
