Well, the Osrams are in and they look......eh............
Honestly, the 6000K generic ones from Khoalty ($20) weren't that bad, it's pretty damn close. I think it could be the slight blue hue that makes it seem brighter, but the Osrams are definitely a little too yellowish looking for me, even though they're not. As in, when you look into the headlights/light, it looks pure white but the road looks yellow. Probably because I got too used to seeing light blue from the previous 6000K bulbs though.

I dropped my 19" summer rim flat on it's face. I picked it up off the garage floor and silver flakes floated around like something magical happened. Yeah, 90% of the rim was chipped off. Not even a rolling fall....straight on it's face...BAM! Time for a winter project to paint it! Does anyone know what kind of silver paint I can use to color match VMR silver???

Duplicolor makes a wheel paint that is a good match

Got a quote about replacing my occupancy sensor mat from my local indy BMW shop.

Parts + Labor + tax, $465.98 out the door, and a 30,000 mile, 30 month warranty on the repair.

IMHO, seeing as the part costs $141.95, and seeing as the project is supposedly very difficult and extremely time consuming, not to mention not well documented at all, I think this is completely worth it. Especially with that warranty. This is a failure-prone part, and if I repair it myself but the mat stops working again, that's just a huge annoyance and expense.

had my OE thermostat replaced AGAIN this week. this is the 2nd OE one to fail. shop put in a Behr this time...it's covered under warranty so I'm just glad they caught it.

also had my windshield washer pump and nozzles replaced as well.

also since i am going to Austin and New Orleans in the next week, i had the shop do a trip check to make sure all is tip top. they noted a slight leak from OFHG and a couple squeaky tensioners and said the oil pan gasket is "8/10" condition but otherwise said she's good to go. OFHG will be addressed soon i guess...ugh.

i would like to get a wash/detail in but with 2 upcoming road trips what's the point right?!
