Got started on my big 100k refresh this weekend -

Yesterday was the bulk of my Inspection II; new plugs, new oil, replaced a leaky upper coolant hose; everything else engine-wise checks out. Rear tires have been ordered and will be done on Monday; I'm doing front brakes on Monday as well. After that comes fluid changes for the transmission and differential, and a DME software update if I can finally convince the dealer to do so... She's gonna be sittin' pretty in no time!

I took my ///M out for a short joy ride and gassed it up before putting it back in the garage...all before the snow storm we're getting today.

they do... but it's on and off sprinkles so I can't really test them.

Forgot to get back to you, your dealer hookup sounds like a great price on that regulator. Do it

I've had PSS's on my ZHP for a few months now, and they are truly the shiznit. I have PS2's on my Z4MC and they are not nearly the tire that the PSS's are. It too will wear PSS's soon.

I rocked the PS2's before the PSS' - the comparison is a joke...

This is technically PSS v1.5 since it's not a full set. This time I actually went fatter by 10mm (my old PSS' were 255s). I will report back with my findings.

I beat on my car at the track on a cold, cold day. Well not cold by Midwestern or New Englander (or Qubecois) standards, but cold for Southern California (high desert). Started at 27F then 36F, then the afternoon was almost sunny at 47F. We even saw a few snowflakes! I discovered that 36F on a dry track is still a lot more grip (once tires warm up) than 50F on a wet track. At least with my tires.

Edit: Video from yesterday. Today I got a better lap time but haven't had a chance to upload the vid. And yes, windows down!

Jeez. We stop running track events in October, and even the 50's temperature is far too cold to be running with windows down! Did you guys run windows down? I think it's a requirement.

Why is it so cold there anyway? I thought the temperature never went down below like 50...

It's not the car you drive, it's how you drive it.

Decided to remove & return the Dynavin. Bottom line is that it just isn't a polished enough product for the price paid. I had been coming to this conclusion over the past few days & was a little worried about the wife's reaction (being a gift from her, & all). Turns out that all I had to do was let her drive with it! She came home today from running errands & said "How can you stand using your Dynavin??" I love her.

So now that Dynavin will be turning into a Sprint Booster (w/Sport button mod), angel eyes, & a Dice MediaBridge.
