Strangely enough, if I let my friend drive my car, he gets waved by every BMW on the road (and other German cars too). I get nothing. But when I drive his car (an STI), I get waves from all the Subaru guys, and he gets nothing. Maybe it's subtle racism(I'm Indian, he's... Dutch? something european lol)

Yeah, we had a discussion on this a while back. Nobody waves here in LA. BMW's are like Toyotas here, just too many of them for people to care.

I only get waves in the MINI. Theres a phoenix yellow M3 vert with a hardtop I see sometimes that I've waved at and gotten it back in the ZHP. Thats about it though.

Yup, fully aware of that. One of the things I love about the MINI. The waves are mainly from first gen owners though.
