I cleaned up the paint work on the front end of my car yesterday morning. Hood, bumper and both front fenders.

    -Clay Bar
    -Megiuars 105 Ultra Cut Compound
    -Megiuars 205 Ultra Finishing Polish
    -Wolfgang's Ultimate Sealant 3.0
    -NXT Synthetic Wax

Came out purty, full detail will come friday when I have the time. The front end alone took me 4 hours to finish Totally worth it though.

I installed one set of speakers up front, and worked on getting the stock Nav computer/amplifier bracket to fit the JL HD amp yesterday. It's coming along nicely. I inhaled a bunch of metal and now my throat hurts. I wore eye protection but couldn't find my mask.

Nice! It must've been cold. Do you have a heated garage? I have to detail my car again soon- I've got some pretty bad marks on the trunk.

    - a few days ago, picked up the 135s and already sent my one out for chroming. Shipped 1 out, the other 2 are ready to go out to the buyers.
Sounds good, the boots are awesome looking.. Get that thing ready for a possible Mulholland cruise with William on Saturday the 6th???

Nice! It takes me a long time to detail, too. People that get a whole car done in a day blow my mind.
And, yeah, we're gonna need pics.

    I wish I had a heated garage

It was something like 43 degrees out, so not too too bad. Still f'ing cold though. And my trunk is probably in worse shape than yours is. I live near a grade school, and one morning some kids thought it would be funny to draw a wang and balls on the trunk of my car. Now I have scratches in a very embarrassing shape on my trunk lid.

Yeah, I knew this was gonna take a while. I probably could have finished a bit sooner if I had used a rotary to compound. But I stuck to the orbital only because my paint wasn't too bad. Plus I always hesitate taking too much clear off. I feel like the clear gets softer and easier to scratch the deeper you go.

Oh, and good detailed pics to follow. I roped a buddy of mine into helping me complete the rest of the car on Friday. He owes me big time after I spent 6 hours with him detailing his new Cobalt SS.

^Nice. I would like to give that stuff a try.

I finally picked up the zhp over the weekend. the fixes didn't turn out as well as I would have liked. Looks much better though. The new alcantara is fantastic. This interior must have been incredible new. Detailed it yesterday then it rained the whole way home. I'll get some pictures soon.
