I'm with you on this one, my aftermarkets don't fit like my OEM's. If they were not broken (the OEM's) I would just plasti-dip them. I don't care about them being glossy, the only thing glossy black on the car is the shadow-line trim. The black bumper and side strips are not glossy...

That glossifier stuff stems to work pretty well though, I watched a video about it one day...

My .02. I went OEM perf grilles and love 'em. I'm not OEM crazy but for certain things where fitment is key, I'd rather go OEM. I can't comment on the quality of the other types of grills as I haven't owned them. It was worth the extra coin for me to have the OEM peace of mind in this case. Also, buying another set keeps my original set ready to go if I want/need to switch back. As far as plasti-dip, I guess I'm just not down with that miracle in a can. Nothing at all negative to those who use it, I personally would just rather not on my car, so that wasn't an option for me. It's my guess (but I don't know) that the OEM Perf. Gloss Black would look better close up than the plasti-dip. To each his/her own though. EDIT: And as far as glossy, matte black would not look right on my jet black. If you don't care about glossy, that opens up options.

^get the piano black ones! I wish I got them, but they literally updated their site with them the day I got and installed my matte ones. I was so mad since that's what I wanted and didn't want to spend the $$ on the performance ones at the time, so I settled for the matte.

Mine were OEM plastic dipped but it wasn't sticking well and I had a bunch of broken clips.

Oli - no they are made specifically for vehicle photo/video rigs and support quite a bit of weight.
