Clears are still in transit. Should be here by the end of this week!

I was checking out some LS V8's yesterday.. I have decided on a LS7 (7.0L V8, 505 HP) OR an LS3 (6.2L V8, 430HP), Tremec tr 060 6 speed tranny, E46 M3 rear subframe with reinforcements plates etc.. Custom driveshaft, custom headers, hi flow cats, quad exhausts. The wagon should be the quite the beast if I go through with this plan in the next few years

Basically An E46 version of this

IMO an LS3 would most likely be cheaper and more reliable. The LS7 has had a few problems with the lifters and a few other parts failing. Seems to be hit or miss though. You could just put a cam in the LS3 while you were at it if you wanted some more power.

    Sweet project though.

I just though of that actually. I remembered that I could just cam the Ls3 when I am ready to, and it will make some stupid power. Ugh, so much money though for this project.. Once I am done with college and my job is stable and making me some good money, I will go balls to the walls with this project. I plan to retain AC, a fully functioning instrument cluster, and all that good stuff.

After hearing my Dad's S62 in his E39 and checking out two s65 (M3 V8 powered) Z4 race cars yesterday I have established that V8 power is the only way to go.

Would be sick if you kept it stock looking with a quiet exhaust and electric dumps.

What did you do for your ZHP/ BMW / MINI today? #2

Jordan, are you gonna get BAR certified?

as for me, installed a working antenna

...and finished disassembly of my AC blower.

I'll put the new center console and Alpine deck in today.

    old console:

Also traded my early M6 wheel to Carl for an E21 sport wheel. He's gonna get my old wheel recovered so he can use it on his early M5.

^ nice shoes, I love Adidas

Yeah, I am going to try to get the car BAR certified, I want everything to be CA smog legal. It will be difficult, but I think it can be done. Hopefully.

That E21 looks like so much fun to drive. I think I am going to ask this nice gentleman around the corner if he wants to sell his, I have only seen him drive it once. It's black on tan, 5 speed, all original, and it even has the nice BBS wheels on it!

No rebuilding them.

Also, Got my new splitters on... finally. I used SS screws and fender washers on the bottom and double sided tape on the top. I used a stepped drill bit to drill the holes and supported the back with a block of wood. This kept the holes nice and clean. I'm pretty happy with the way they turned out. Like Jupiter said, the fit isn't perfect but I think they look damn good...With my car lowered, I only have a few inches of clearance though.

For comparison, here are my old CF ones from a few years back. My car isn't lowered in this pic.

Which differential are you running now? I plan on swapping out my diff and subframe during the reunion since I will be surrounded by awesome experts in that procedure. I realized that I have a 3.46 and not a 3.38 diff to swap into. I got a subframe with really good bushings from chad earlier today as I gave him my old one. Got that and getting it ready to be installed as well.

Ordered BMW Scanner 1.4.0 today. Lord knows what kind of new trouble this will let me get myself into. Especially since wading through the coding threads, well over half the time it's not really possible to discern exactly what language is being spoken. I just know it's not English
