It puts a protective film on everything and hides minor imperfections, especially on plastic.
At the 1st meet a few years back, I sprayed Kpro's filthy engine bay on her 325 and it looked really good when it was done... No cleaning off of dirt or anything...

Is the film petroleum based? Wouldn't that attract dirt/dust similar to Armor All? I have been looking for a protective film for the engine bay for a while now...if this is the real thing, then I better start finding out where I can get those......Thanks.

Use CRC electronics cleaner.
Silkolene is awesome. I picked mine up on Amazon after Rob gave me some.
Does not attract dirt.
