Your car looks really good. I'm starting to love the roof rack look. It is sorta sexy seeing something so beautiful perform a very functional part of life. Plus I needed to move something this weekend and it was too long.

^ Thanks! I've carried many different ladders (borrow them from work, when my 8' isn't enough height at home), wood, a set of table and chairs, folding tables (for parties, garage sales, ect) all kinds of stuff up there.
Do your research though, I didn't, I just went ahead and bought the OEM rack for the e46. I actually prefer the e90 rack (it has plastic that covers the "feet") and I didn't realize it would work on our cars. I purchased mine at the local dealer on closeout. There are some nice looking (lower profile too) aftermarket racks out there too. I would recommend getting a fairing as well, it really cuts down on wind noise. I went about 6 months without one, it makes a world of difference.
