yup, window and body trim first. Grill and badge later. I was thinking about doing the entire top half of the car from the hood line up but that might have to wait for v.3

Nicely done JP... Today, I removed my rear seat shelf and resprayed it with black fabric paint. Overall came out really good. Still finishing up the details, but happy for a couple hours worth of work. I was going to do a DIY, but I see JP already did an extensive one...

Today Nic got eaten by his own car.

(In case you were wondering, the car was NOT jacked up with the OEM knuckle scraper, just wedged in for some backup!)

Good plan. Always use a backup. And a backup, backup if you have it.

Wow, thanks for the link Dane. I read every word. I can't even imagine something like that happening... unbelievable.

We had the rear on race ramps, e brake on, in gear, tires chalked, etc. But certainly even more attention will be paid regardless.

I'm not sure if this might already exist, but I think it would be a good idea to have a stickied thread of safe jacking procedure for our cars, updated with info for every method (lift, jackstands, OEM jack, floor jack, ramps, etc.)

Damn man... that's a tough story to read. Although I know for a fact my car was safely raised with the proper backups, I would much much prefer a lift.

Finally got my new tires mounted/balanced and the car aligned. I bought Federal 595 EVO's for the ///M. (245/275)

I haven't really had a chance to push them yet, but I will report back once I have a couple thousand miles on them and some spirited driving. So far I can't complain. Road noise is slightly worse than my old Michelin Pilot Sport A/S's, but not too bad. Completely liveable.
