What did you do for your ZHP/ BMW / MINI today? #2

    Sport springs have arrived!

In case you can't read that it says Suspension Techniques, silver apparently means they are '90s production

Also, I now have no broken lenses (bottom is old one)

Good and the bad. Good: The zhp has a new Rear Differential Carrier Bushing. No more clunk!! Bad: I'm not too happy with the redline tranny fluid I put in about 5k miles ago. The car has just recently started getting harder to shift into gear, but only when stopped. Thinking I may switch it out to motul.

That is one job that requires a professional. A knuckle buster. I already have a new bushing. The OE bushing has a slight leak. My mechanic has the facility and tools to get this done in his home garage. Waiting for the right time to have him do this.

I thought blue was more of a finishing pad and white was one step less harsh than orange (yellow being the deepest cut). Maybe different companies do different things?

Yeah. Unfortunately you need a special puller tool. I have seen DIYs that have done it without, but you risk damaging other components. I prefer to diy whenever possible, but I splurged for 240 parts and labor at my local german indy.

I'm sure I will get some flack for this, but I used Royal Purple in my old 328ci for 60k miles without issue. It helped with engaging first from a stop.

Put a new set of Michelin Pilot Super Sport's on the back of the vert today. I'd say we maximized the possible usage out of the ones we took off. No worries, no long road trips fo the most part, she only runs in to town once or twice a week and a tank of gas usually lasts a month.
