So over the summer I slowly painted a couple pieces on the car. I asked joop if I could copy his grill, and he graciously said "Of course!"

I had lowes color match a printout of the stripes, and the purple, wet, was reeeeeeeeaaallllly purple, but dried up nice and dark.
    Testing the colors

    The grill

And on the car, with the kidney surrounds repainted black

Then I painted my coil cover for something to do

I like it, but not sure how I feel about keeping it, without anything matching in the engine bay.

Then a couple weeks ago I picked up this

I'm having way too much fun on it, so the ///M has been parked for 2 weeks, not gaining miles.

    And some pics from work:

Sorry for the terrible quality, all phone pics.

Wow, that's really purple when wet...

    Finish product looks great, though!

Yeah, the black helps mute it a bit a well. Btw, the last pic is a shifty knob from a 198(6?) Maserati biturbo. Dog leg is why I photographed it.

Hey man, looks really good. And if it makes you feel better, you didn't completely copy me. You used the older M stripe colors (purple), while I used the newer colors which has the dark blue for the middle stripe. Looks great though... I see you brushed your stripes, that would've been way easier, mine are all spray paint.

    Car looks good.

Why is brushing harder than spraying?
