Thanks again for hooking me up, Jon!

    Project thread updated.
Sounds awesome! I've been watching Ebay for one but no luck so far. I'm curious if you had to use an LCM for a coupe or just one with the 4.0 sw? If it's not from a coupe do your adaptive (swiveling L to R) headlights still work? I'm beginning to think it might just be easier to order the correct 61319133029 LCM. They can be found for a little under $300.

    Thanks......Barry

I did this along with E46 M3 RTABS and my back end feels very tight and planted.

Yeah that's what I ordered. Crazy how a $19 piece of rubber has so much to do with alignment.

There is no differentiation between coupe and sedan. I actually programmed his LCM in my car (sedan) and then sent it to him. He confirmed all features worked and no tamper dot on the dash.

I need to do this, I have no time (and no windows computers) to figure out programming.

    Yeah, it really is crazy.

My FCABS were maybe 30k miles old (OEM BMW) and already on their way out. I DIY'd them and the difference was amazing.

That's good to know! I was going by Realoem, they show an LCM for rain sensor + xenon cars and a different one for rain sensor + xenon + adaptive headlights cars. Both are the same price though, I'd have to think if there were some added circuitry for adaptive lights there would be a higher price on it.

    http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts...60&hg=61&fg=35

But then I found this module that apparently is what controls the adaptive function....

    http://www.ecstuning.com/Search/Site...9312/ES173012/

I still have to wonder though why the two different LCMs?

    Thanks for the info Joop.......Barry
