Replaced my coolant expansion tank cap with a new one since the old one was leaking. Easiest fix I've done yet haha.

Just installed a new set of carbon fiber mirror caps. Admittedly, I got them off eBay, and well, I should've saved my money. I was pretty skeptical as I know that all the crap from China is just that, crap. But, they were pretty cheap and I've wanted the CF mirrors for a while. I love them when I see them on the E90s, so I figured it was worth a shot. Besides, something unique without the $$$ of the OEM M3 retrofit.

Anyway, they are caps, over the existing covers, held on by double sided tape. I was ok with that, but they aren't a perfect fit, and being that the car is white, you can see the edge of the white cover from the back side (for instance when you would be sitting in the car).. Obviously if I had a black car, this wouldn't be an issue so much. The weave looks good though so I guess that's not SO bad. But, they are paper thin so I don't expect them to last too terribly long. If I want to get really into it, I'll have the stock caps molded and then a proper cover made that completely replaces the stock caps...

Anyway, I'm 50/50 on the product right now. I love the look, I want to love the product, but I'm not 100% on them. So, aside from quality issues, I'd love to hear your thoughts on the look.

I like it. Just not as much as M3 mirrors. They really make a big difference. It's a shame that they don't solve your broken clip issue
